An Alternative to Deep Frying: Baked Crab Rangoon

This is one of my favorite items to get from any Chinese restaurant. The only problem...the deep frying! Attempting to stay away from deep frying when possible, I made these to avoid  this issue and in my opinion, they are just as good!

12 Wonton Wraps
3/4 C. Crab Meat, Chopped
8 Oz. Cream Cheese
1/4 C. White Onion, Chopped
2 Garlic Cloves, Minced
1/4 C. Fresh Chives, Chopped
Salt
Pepper

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place Wonton wraps in muffin trays to form cup like shapes.

Place in oven and cook for 5 minutes. Meanwhile, mix together crab, cream cheese, onion, garlic, chives salt and pepper. Remove wontons from oven. Take a spoonful of cream cheese mixture and place in each wonton. Place back in oven and cook for 15 minutes.
