Lavender Sugar Cookies with Rose Water Frosting


I stumbled across this recipe when I was looking into what to do with some rose water I had recently purchased. This would be a great recipe to use for summer.

For the Cookies:
1/2 C. Butter
1 C. Sugar
2 Eggs
1 1/2 Tsp. Lavender, Crushed
1 1/2 C. Flour
2 Tsp. Baking Powder
1/4 Tsp. Salt

For the Icing:
2 C. Powered Sugar
5 1/2 Tsp. Water
6 1/2 Tsp. Rose Water

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cream together the butter and the sugar. add the eggs, lavender, flour, baking powder and salt. Drop by teaspoons onto an ungreased baking sheet. Bake for about 10 minutes.
While the cookies bake, prepare the icing by mixing the powdered sugar with the water and rose water. Drizzle this over the cookies once they have cooled.
