Strawberry Maple Bacon French Toast Stack

For the Strawberry Sauce:
1/4 C. Water
1 C. Fresh Strawberries
2 1/2 Tbsp. Sugar

Place water in small sauce pan on high heat. Add strawberries. Cook until soft, about 7-8 minutes. Smash berries into a sauce, add sugar and mix well. Reduce heat to low. Keep warm until needed.

For the French Toast:
4 Slices of Sourdough Bread
2 Eggs
1/4 C. Half & Half
1 1/2 Tsp. Cinnamon
1 Tsp. Sugar
1/4 Tsp. Nutmeg
1 Tbsp. Butter

Preheat oven to 200 degrees. Cut slices of sourdough bread in half. Combine remaining ingredients with the exception of the butter. Melt butter on medium-high heat in a large skillet. Let bread soak in egg mixture for 30 seconds per side. Make sure it is coated well with the egg mixture. Place bread slices in skillet. Cook until golden brown on each side, about 5-6 minutes per side. Place in oven to keep warm while finishing the remaining slices.

Other Ingredients:
Maple Syrup
Maple Bacon, Cooked until Brown & Crispy

Plate by making layer of French toast with the strawberry sauce, bacon and syrup.
