For the Sesame Ginger Tulie:
1/4 C Water
1 1/4 C. Sugar
4 Tbsp Butter
1 Tbsp Hoisin Sauce
1/4 Tsp Salt
1 Tbsp Sesame Oil
1/2 C. Flour
1/2 Tbsp Powdered Ginger
1/4 C. Sesame Seeds
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a medium saucepan, bring water and sugar to a boil. Reduce heat to medium and let simmer for 20 minutes. Remove from heat and whisk in hoisin sauce and sesame oil. Sift in the flour, continuously stirring. Add ginger and sesame seeds. Bake in oven on Silpats in approximately 1 Tbsp. portions for 10 minutes. Flip and bake for another 10 minutes. Form to shape as desired.
