Walnut Burgers
with garlic aioli and sriracha ketchup
For the Burgers:
1 1/2 C. Walnuts, Soaked in water for an hour and chopped
1 C. Shredded Sharp Cheddar
1 C. Panko Bread Crumbs
2 Eggs, Beaten
1/4 C. Ground Flax Seed
1 1/2 Tbsp. Onion Powder
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce
2 Tsp. Italian Seasoning
1 Tsp. Cayenne Pepper
Salt, Pepper to Taste
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Combine all ingredients. Form in to six patties. Place on baking sheet and in oven for 7 minutes, or until bottom is golden brown. Flip patties and cook for another 7 minutes. Serve on toasted bun with lettuce, tomato, garlic aioli, and sriracha ketchup.
For the Garlic Aioli:
3 Tbsp. Light Mayonnaise
2 Garlic Cloves, Minced
2 Tsp. Water
Salt to taste
Combine all ingredients. Refrigerate until needed.
For the Sriracha Ketchup:
1/4 C. Ketchup
1-2 Tsp. Sriracha (depending on heat preference)
Combine all ingredients. Refrigerate until needed.
