Candied Bacon Burgers

1/4 Lb. Bacon, Sliced
1/4 C. Dark Brown Sugar
Ground Black Pepper

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Place a piece of parchment paper on a baking sheet. Toss bacon in brown sugar. Place on parchment paper and season with black pepper. Bake for 20 minutes. If it is not golden and crispy at this point, bake for another 5-10 minutes.

To assemble, top burger patties with sharp cheddar cheese, candied bacon, barbecue sauce and mayonnaise.

Serve with a Left Bank Bordeaux.
