Brandy & Brown Sugar Broiled Grapefruit

 with orange marscapone, toasted hazelnuts, smoked pecan sea salt

 (serves 2)
for the grapefruit:
One grapefruit, cut in half
1 tbsp. brandy
4 tbsp. brown sugar

Preheat oven to broil. Place grapefruit on oven safe sheet pan. Drizzle 1/2 tbsp. of brandy over each grapefruit being careful not to drip (or wipe up any spills) as it can easily start on fire under the broiler. Top grapefruit with 2 tbsp brown sugar over each. Place into oven. Allow to broil until top is beginning to brown, about 10 minutes. Top with marscapone, toasted hazelnuts, and sea salt (optional)

for the orange marscapone:
1/3 c. marscapone cheese
2 tbsp. powdered sugar
zest from 1 orange
juice from 1/2 orange

Combine all ingredients. Place in fridge until ready to use.

for the hazelnuts:
1/3 c. hazelnuts

Toast hazelnuts on medium heat over stove until fragrant and beginning to brown. Roughly chop before using.
